"had a very disappointing experience with State Farm at their 187 3rd Avenue office in the Bronx. After a flood in my apartment, I filed a claim expecting support especially since I had increased my coverage and was paying more to properly protect my home. Instead of helping, they gave me a hard time and even accused me of trying to take advantage of my insurance just to replace my floors and belongings, which was completely untrue. There was significant damage, and I submitted all the documentation they requested. What’s even worse is what happened after. I renew my policy every March and had already paid for increased coverage. But when April came, I never received any renewal notice. When I followed up, I was told my policy had been canceled due to “no payment” which is false. I have proof from my bank that the payment went through. I felt unfairly treated and not taken seriously throughout this process because I’m not Dominican or Spanish ! The communication and handling of my claim were dismissive and unprofessional. At this point, the only reason I am still in contact with them is to recover the money I already paid for my 2025 coverage. Canceling a policy without notice, especially after accepting payment, is completely unacceptable. I expect a full refund so I can move on and find another insurance company that treats clients honestly and professionally. Overall, this experience has been extremely frustrating. Communication was poor, accountability was lacking, and I felt dismissed throughout the entire process. I would not recommend this office based on how my situation was handled."

"They gave me a good service for about 20 years, but when I left, they stole from me. So sad. How?........My bill was due around the 30th of every month, and I canceled on the 11th of August or September 2025. Guess what? As you know, they charge you ahead of the month, it means I used like 1/3 of the month. That's around US$233 out of US$700 that I used to pay for two cars. I have called and visited several times and always they will call me back. Over six months waiting for that call. I gave them 3 stars because they gave a good service for long time before the robbery. Geico is charging me half the price. Update: Camilo answered to me the same week that I posted (you can see the response below.) No calls, no emails, no nothing. Looks like is the philosophy of the owner is reflected in the business shameful practice. Hopefully, they need the money more than me, but I still need it."
